The Solar panel installation was for our home but being professional landlords we undertook an in-depth appraisal of many local suppliers, the options, materials and the market. There were many ‘new’ and double glazing companies who were offering panels from various manufactures. Prices varied considerably as did the sales pitch and knowledge. We found Anolis ticked all our boxes, a long serving local company with a good reputation, an honest and in depth knowledge of the market and importantly a long relationship with the manufacturers.

We could not fault the workmanship or service. They also adapted to meet any special needs we had.

We did not wish to risk going with any of the other companies providing solar panels. An investment of this nature must be undertaken by experienced professionals, not those trying to be. Our first years total production output has been +26% over the governments anticipated generation figures, so we are more than happy with the tax free income and considerably reduced payback period. In November 2011 Anolis completed installing our Solar Panels. The whole operation from first contact to completion was conducted in a professional but friendly way. Nothing was too much trouble, from explanations of various procedures to filling out the necessary forms and keeping us in touch with what was happening. The whole operation was planned and carried out on time. The scaffolders came the first day, the electrician and fitters the next and the scaffolders again the next day to remove the scaffolding. We must mention the electrician Lee in particular who explained all the work he carried out so that we could understand the system. The scaffolding went up on day 1, complete installation took place on day 2 and the scaffolding came down on day 3. It was all carried out in a competent and clean manner. It is just over a year since you installed my solar pv system. I have recorded the generation every month and the total for the year was 2695 units compared with the estimate of 2108 in your proposal. I anticipated an increase as you have to use average UK sunshine figures, but 28% extra shows the benefit of living on the sunny south coast. With the benefit of hindsight, I think you could have squeezed a twelfth panel on the roof which would have improved the return on capital even more, but I shouldn’t be too greedy !
